JOB SUMMARY:

Manage all daily, weekly and monthly accounting and operational functions related to the Business Finance Groups asset based lending portfolio. Provide direct supervision and leadership to one or more accounting team member(s). Develop, manage, document and maintain department processes and controls to ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of information.

Responsibilities

  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly Accounting & Operational functions. Daily pull, record and reconcile bank information from various institutions and distribute to operations team on a defined timeline. 
  • Perform Core System entries on a daily basis with respect to collateral adjustments and fees.
  • Perform daily IBS entries.
  • Balance and calculate daily bank account transfers.
  • Perform end of day closing process of Core system on a daily basis.
  • Validating daily files for accuracy to ensure GL and Financial Statement information is reported accurately.
  • Preparation or review of daily and monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and monthly reporting.
  • Complete payoff process and necessary accounting entries.
  • Recommend and draft statements of work for system improvements. Completing testing and feed back on deployments.
  • Work closely with IT development team in creating reports for monitoring and managing the collateral for management.
  • Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
  • Manage, support, coach and train staff.
  • Review and be knowledgeable of departmental and human resource’s policies & procedures
  • Responding to information requests from the company's internal and external auditors.
  • Leading the planning and execution of various initiatives directed at the improvement of process efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
  • Ability to work in a very time structured environment. Meeting various daily deadlines.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Firm understanding of accounting systems and related technology
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Firm understanding of commercial loans, including impairment and valuation-related concepts
  • Ability to build consensus among key stakeholders (including the Company's external auditors).
  • Required: 8-12 years of professional experience in a combination of public accounting
  • Preferred: Prior experience in financial services/commercial lending
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • Preferred: Professional designation (CPA)

SALARY RANGE: $90,000.00 -  161,940.48 USD; Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
