Job Summary: 

Responsible for proactively leading, defining and supporting highly visible, enterprise-wide programs and projects that meet organization goals and requirements. This overall responsibility and ownership of results includes program strategy development, scoping, planning, execution, budget/resource management, and tracking, from initiation through implementation of all related work streams. The Vice President is responsible for adhering to project management office processes and policies, and working with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects. The successful candidate must be able to effectively lead, develop & implement cross enterprise initiatives and ensure success of projects and initiatives including execution governance, managing finances and risk, creating and managing metrics and driving best practices. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead evolution of technology with a view toward continuous improvement of business processes and data integrity by applying appropriate technology to solve business problems and translate it to actionable business requirements.
  • Supports large-scale enterprise-wide projects that incorporate a proactive and innovative solution to addressing business challenges and achieving organizational goals and objectives. Integrates how the big picture of the initiatives comes together from definition through implementation on implications across the business.
  • Partner with technology vendors and develop solutions, executing efficiencies in all aspects of building and maintaining systems, applications and development.  Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiatives.
  • Direct the development of business strategy and drives the implementation of key strategic initiatives working closely with business users at all levels of the organization.
  • Establish, mentor, influence and lead a project team to take accountability for planning and executing deliverable solutions to realize business requirements and build a world class operating platform.
  • Supports initiative teams with skills in process excellence, project management, facilitation, problem solving, accelerating transformation and value creation to drive toward required outcomes. Surfaces capacity, pacing, resourcing issues and any other red flag issues needing leadership attention. Ensures effective stakeholder engagement and communications. Ensures timelines are adhered to for initiatives by keeping executives aware of any red flags concerning the timing or integration process
  • Plan and execute effective change management programs to ensure business acceptance and user effectiveness with the solutions delivered and ensure technology investments align with transformation imperatives.
  • Aligns and integrates existing management processes to strategize for competitive advantage. These include multiple cross-functional processes that need to be managed and/or integrated to ensure the successful development and execution of the organization’s strategy.
  • Assesses the ongoing progress of the organization as a whole and drives broad changes and specific improvement initiatives necessary to achieve the targeted business outcomes.
  • Develops a feedback mechanism at strategic touch points to facilitate open discussions of organizational improvement opportunities.
  • Creates a measurement system and/or tool to assess awareness, understanding, buy-in and support of change management activities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
  • Experience in developing strategy and delivering business transformation in areas such as process re-design, change management and technology enabled business change.
  • Ability to think big and act fast with a start-up mentality dealing with enterprise awareness.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and re-adjust plans quickly, while maintaining a good understanding of the role and how the team plays in major organizations’ technology strategies.
  • Strong influencing priorities, for both the business team and the technology teams supporting the department. Must understand both the business problem and the technical solution to advocate for excellence and effect change when necessary.
  • Must have the finesse to navigate within a large organization to influence big decision makers and win trust by using people skills as much as technology knowledge.
  • Comfortable with reviewing technical designs and providing feedback and confirmation of alignment to desired capabilities: choosing the appropriate technology and designing a solution that both answers the problem at hand, and stays within constraints.
  • Understanding and often consulting/participating in the entire cycle of business transformation delivery, from ideation, to project conception, to code, to testing, to deployment, and around again.
  • Strong understanding of technology architecture concepts and experience with technical delivery.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Effective organizational, time management and strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills, with a track record of communicating with users at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis.
  • Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.
  • Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.
  • Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a highly analytical discipline or related field.
  • Eight (8) years’ experience managing the performance of daily administration responsibilities in a business transformation environment and teams.
  • Five (5) or more years’ expertise in using business technology to solve business problems.
  • Five (5) or more years’ in solution design and delivery (project management) experience.
  • Experience in the Banking industry preferred.
  • Current Driver’s License and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities

Salary Range: $101,212.80- 219,294.40 USD;  Final salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with geographic/market data.
