Job Summary: 

The Employee Engagement Specialist plays a significant role in shaping Banc of California’s workplace culture by developing and supporting the implementation of various programs, initiatives and events to ensure an engaging workplace where every employe feels valued and motivated to contribute to the success of the bank.

Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with human resources in the design and implementation of employee engagement programs that align with the bank’s strategic goals and culture, including recognition initiatives and team building activities.
  • Develop and administer employee surveys to measure engagement levels, gather feedback on workplace satisfaction, engagement drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate focus groups to create personalized engagement plans and leverage unique opportunities to boost morale and productivity.
  • Organize employee special events (company-wide) to foster a sense of community and belonging among team members.
  • Create and manage internal communication campaigns to highlight engagement initiatives, celebrate achievements and share success stories across the bank.
  • Manage team member service anniversaries and award program.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with IDEA Committee, Innovation Circle Group, Site Leader Council and HR Leadership Team to ensure collaboration and coordination of engagement activities.
  • Maintain and manage event reporting, progress and results.
  • Manage any special projects assigned by the Talent Development Manager or Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Support Talent Development with the developing of training communications and maintaining of Training Dashboard.
  • Administer LinkedIn Learning platform and showcase best practices that enhances employee engagement, including effective communication, positive workplace relationships, feedback techniques, and motivational strategies etc.
  • Prioritizes workload and follow up with pending information in a timely manner.
  • Works independently and takes the initiative to complete assigned duties on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven resolution skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties
  • Current California driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to travel when necessary and accommodate meeting times outside typical business hours to accommodate other BOC locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, or related field and two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SALARY RANGE: $68,000.00 - 85,000.00 USD; Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
